Starting this May 2 the minimum processing customs fee for a package from China into the USA will be $25. That's on top of the new tariff being added. Processing fee goes to $50 in June. Gone will be the days of 5 100mm x 100mm PCBs from JLCPCB for well under $10 delivered to your door.
Thankfully, our own factories will be in full swing before that happens and we will show them Chinese what quality means
I never had any problems with JLCPCB quality. But a 10x price jump will hurt.

About time these other countries had to pay there fair share as well instead of always screwing us.
Do you have a source for this information? I just placed an order with JLCPCB and there is no notice on their website about this new processing fee.
What??? You do realize that it is the U.S. consumer paying for this, not "other countries."
It appears fee will apply to postal deliveries only. DHL deliveries should be different, hopefully no change. New tariffs will apply to all. Part of the plan I think to get rid of the US post office.
