Do they work as they should.

Well I wouldn't use it to measure dangerous voltages, I wouldn't trust the category printed on the front - note its usually the leads that are a problem here, the case is chunky plastic and you can check its robust, but cheap moulded leads without a reputable brand behind them isn't a risk worth taking. And they may not be able to handle as much current as the meter!
However for safe voltage use it probably pretty good, most multimeters are perfectly workable tools these days. Its not claiming any outrageous accuracy either.

I bought one of these the 683 pro version for around 35$. Works well as multimeter (Volts, Ohms, Amperes, Capacitance not so good) measured AC volts upto 240 volts (our local mains supply) and DC 52 volts (Amp). Leads are a bit on the thin side, but that's what you get for less than $40.Anyone tried this DMM from Aliexpress?

It does work, though. It has a chargeable battery inside, can be charged via standard USB c and the battery standby time is over a month, the touch screen is OK.
Purchased similar one for giggles, and it measures ok, small voltages, capacitance and resistor values. For HV i wouldn't use it, simply because i don't trust it's safety regulation certificate. It started missbehaving (wouldn't turn on, or loose battery juice over night), so i binned it.
I consider these cheap uncertified models good enough for lines voltage (if you don't have another MM at hand), but I would never dare measuring anything higher than that. If you are going for >500V, you in any case should use a CAT certified meter (1000V) and certified leads/clips from a major brand (like FLUKE). Cheaping out on these is highly dangerous, in a deadly way.ok thanks för the reviews.Maybe it not recomended to mesure tubeamps (350-550v).
I bought it, used it 5-6 times and put it away and haven't used it in months - not worth the money. I have two $25-$30 DMMs from Amazon and a 15 yr old FLuke that work better, auto ranging is much faster and more accurate. The screen is nice, but it also kills the battery if you turn the backlight on and I can't read the numbers very well without it - so another reason it's in the closet clollecting dust.Anyone tried this DMM from Aliexpress?
