I bought these 8" coaxial Hemp Acoustics/Radians almost two years ago and am finally taking my first measurements ever! These are indoor measurements gated at 5.2ms, 1/24th smoothing at 15° intervals. I'm on a Mac, but now wish I had a windows machine for VituixCAD and the directivity plots.
Tweeters were crossed over at 800hz. Woofers played full range.
This was a very bargain purchase and I am a total novice so I'm looking for feedback on whether these drivers are usable or not. Any other pointers are welcome.

OK, so clearly all my issues are on one side. Darn. They don't make these hemp cones anymore, but since I got these at such a bargain I'm not too worried about experimenting still. As you can see from the pictures below the diaphragm is in bad shape and the surface below has some gunk on it.
Questions:
+ What do you think about brake cleaner to clean up the gunk?
+ Is it worth reconing both sides or should I just start over and buy new units?

As cleaning substance I recommend IPA (Isopropylalcohol).
The magnetic gap is best to wipe with sticky tape very thoroughly.
