I buy my dreaming(for 30 years) speakers DUNTECH Sovereign 2001 recently.
I had replaced original DA drivers with modern Scan-speak drivers .
Next step will be revising original passive crossover or jumping to active crossover???
Hoping that I can find the best answer here!
Thanks everyone!

Welcome.

A lot of effort by the designer (apparently) went into the design of those speakers when they were made, based on the original drivers which were allegedly matched to each other and each crossover, which sometimes differed between individual speakers. The original crossover is highly unlikely to be useable; you may as well start from scratch as if it's a new design.

You essentially no longer have Duntech Sovereigns. I apologise for being direct, but you'll need to keep dreaming.

Active crossover with 4-ways Accuphase DF-45 is the easiest way for me, because there is no need to revise original passive crossover( DA drivers and Scan-speak drivers have different DC resistance, Inductance….).I just need to pull out the big passive crossover, cut 14 output wires, reconnect those wires to 4 pairs (SUB-LOW-MID-HIGH)of new rear binding posts. I would like to post all photos about 3 days later, because the new binding posts and plate is on its way to my home now.
My setup will be: Accuphase DC330 preamp —Accuphase DF45—Accuphase PX650(6 ch power amp) for HIGH (Scan D2104/71200), MID(DA D54AF),LOW(Scan 15W/8531K00)+Accuphase M6000(mono power amp)x2 for SUB(Scan 30W/T4558T00).

After connecting all the signal and speaker cables, the DF45 crossover points and slopes were initially set according to the original DUNTECH Sovereign 2001 settings: 300Hz-2000Hz-6000Hz/6dB. Volume balance was adjusted using REW. The player used was the Zidoo UHD8000, with music sourced from Qobuz.

The mid and high frequencies were exceptionally beautiful, but the punch in ABBA's music was lacking, and the deep bass in Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga was also inaudible.

Next, REW was used to measure the frequency response of the Scan 30W subwoofer and the 15W woofer individually. It was found that the 15W woofer could extend down to 100Hz, so the crossover point was adjusted from 300Hz to 100Hz. The 30W subwoofer's volume was then gradually increased until the final result was satisfying. After comparing slopes of 24dB, 48dB, and 96dB, the slope was set at 24dB.

Although this process seems brief in writing, it actually took an entire day of repeated listening and adjustments. The delay adjustments between individual speaker drivers will be carried out next.

I'm not sure if the above was referring to me (and I don't mind) but I wasn't suggesting a great speaker can't be made - and it may even be better than the original - but it's not a Sovereign. I'd just assumed the OP had heard them before and wanted that exact speaker.

By the look of the above...well on the way!
