I'm looking for a source of decent quality 2.5mm TRS plugs to make a new headphone cable, preferably from a UK or EU supplier so postage isn't astronomical. I can get them cheaply at Ali Express but no idea of quality; I'd like gold plated and insulation that doesn't melt under soldering at least. Does anyone know of such a thing?
P.S I want to change the cables for practicality, current set is just a bit too short and needs an adaptor at the amp end - I have no illusions that this will 'improve' the sound...

I have replaced many headphone jacks with them, and they have all function perfectly and I have not had to replace any and they’re not that expensive, four or five euros.
I couldn't find anything from the usual good quality suspects (Cliff, Neutrik, Switchcraft, Amphenol) but Thomann has a few pre-made headphone cables with a 2.5 jack in one end, go to headphone accessories -> headphone cables -> filter for output connector = jack 2,5 mm TRS male. They are expensive but it may be your best bet...
As far as I can tell, Neutrik only do 3.5mm - I need 2.5mm. If you have a link to an appropriate plug, please post it 🙏Neutrik. Best quality I’ve ever used.
Why do you need 2.5mm?
Most small H/P sockets are 3.5mm. I second mctavish's recommendation for Neutrik 3.5mms. By far the most reliable.

2.5mm jacks are commonly used on headphones with detachable cables.

Yes, unfortunately they are commonly used. They suck.
I have bought connectors such as these from aliexpress and they seemed to be decent. Furutech makes some 2.5mm but they are obscenely priced and most seem to be TRRS.
This site has these which look to be pretty good and the price isn't horrendous.

Why do you assume I don't know what I'm looking for?Why do you need 2.5mm?
I'm sure Neutrik 3.5mm plugs are excellent; I'm equally sure they're useless for building the cable I need.
Thanks to those who bothered to read the first post and the links attached - they look good.🙂
