I was shocked by the title of the kit, SEAS makes toys not speakers ? and very expensive toys....
TPCD is carbon, worth the price or it is just marketing ?

Textreme is a swedish company, independent from SB.SB’s Textreme?
Hificompass has a great information box about textreme and it's product TPCD in this driver test (click on the blue highlighted link in the article):

Same thing. Same company.I assume TPCD is very similar to SB’s Textreme?
Oxeon started Textreme, then spun off the audio stuff into its own company (Composite Sound).

Why do I get the impression that this "Toy" would be more expensive than the motorcycle I'm thinking of buying for my granddaughter's birthday? 😉
Very cool!
Would be awesome if they would release a new SEAS KingRO4Y Mk IV kit with this coaxial.

Built them in Corian. Internal slanted perforated shelf as diffuser for back wave. Sounds really good, somewhat beryllium like according to a fellow listener. Will test with sub soon.

Do you have measurements ?
Did you try to play loud ?
Do you know the JOY sound ? SEAS JOY compared to a JOY, is it better ?
I built the SEAS JOY and work a lot with the first version of C16N
My crossover is a little different and my measurement too, not very confident with SEAS measurement with too much smoothing. The treble is a disaster at this price point.
My XP with the C16N001
Hi Jerome I have nothing to show other than Seas's measurement curves. I haven't listened to Joy so I can't say what the differences are in terms of sound.
I've played loud, yes, but I don't dare to go full throttle on, for example, Heilung's "Svanrand" or Nils Henrik Aasheim "Til Fader Vor at Ende" with my dual mono Orchard Starcrimson Ultra amps. The kit is too expensive for experimenting too much. On acoustic music they sounds very detailed without being ear-straining. There will probably appear more decibels when hipass and subwoofers are added.
