Hi gents ,
Picked up some mint condition 104/2’s which sadly have the wrong tweeters ( NT25 sp1413 ) instead of the T33 .
As the T33’s are unobtainable others have apparently used the morel mdt 29 or even the mdt 30 as a successful replacement . I have some mdt 30’s here but they’re 8ohm not the 4ohm as per the original T33 ( I think).
Is there something I can do with my 8ohm tweeters to not upset the crossover in anyway ?

There are no tweeters being exact remplacment for the tweeters filter, but some are near enough the T33 with its efficienty (the filter has no resistor to tame down).
You need at minima :
the rigth efficienty, the rigth impedance, the body should stay thin cause you have small room at the back ofthe magnet.
BC25TG15 ? (close enough for the genuine filter, same Fs, etc)
SB26STAC ? (clearer)
Audax TW25A ?
Hope that helps

Thanks ,
I’m currently listening to them with the morel MDT 30’s fitted ( temporary fixing ) and suddenly the bass sounds huge but the treble a little subdued maybe 🤷♂️but that might be because those Kef nt25’s would make your ears bleed.

The Morel was often talked too.
At the end you need measurement and play on the filter.

Found a video where they replaced to tweeter with a MDT29. Fast forward to 7:53.
T33 replacement has been discussed…well you know
I’ve had my 104/2 for more than 20 years…still haven’t serviced the T33 ferrofluid even though I have some 🤞🤞🤞
Many years ago a Vifa 4 Ohm was suggested…it’s never an exact match…I did grab some at the time
There’s this now:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/162174546136
No affiliation with seller…it’s an option anyway

Thanks mate , what I have to consider is : those Chinese copies on eBay which will cost me over £160 plus taxes , import duties OR stick with the highly regarded morel MDT 30’s which I have here and they owe me nothing but they’re 8 ohmT33 replacement has been discussed…well you know

Please stick, withh the BC25TG-04, the AUdax, or the Morel, SB26STAC in that order relative to the T33 sounding character (ranked by being clearer and clearer wich is not the Kef104/2 atttribute really, so a SB26 or a Morel willl sound much clearer, creating a desiquilibrium wirth the Nomex)).
4 ohms please.
Of course check all the rest : caps, donuts, foam surrounds if you have that one.

For reference, Kef T33 specs.
If your T33are still okay, not hard to refurbish but if the tinny outputs wire of the voice coils are broken or if a voice coil burned (used as a party loudspeaker plague)

I would give Wilmslow Audio a call, they provided me with a replacement for my 104/2 tweeters years ago but sorry can’t remember what they were.
Kef T33's are often replaced by Audax TW025A2's or Seas T35C002. The audax is a better fit most think bt the Seas is close. The Kef T33 itself would be an evolution out of the T27 which was an OEM version of the legandaric Seas H087, the direct ancestor of the T35C002. But that tweeter is not a direct replacement, it need an adapted crossover to work in that speaker.
I don't know about the morel or the Peerless tweeters mentioned above.

For curiosity reasons, some industrious member could post the crossover schematic diagram of the KEF 104/2 speakers 🙂
WOW !!!
I had no idea of the complexity,
but without inductor values, not much can be derived 😕
