I love doing sculptural art and have made a lot of other stuff but Im up to a floor standing speaker
I would like to use a full range decent driver.
Im a fan of punchy sealed bass and cabinet can be up to about 50l
I have heard a lot of PR enclosures that have actually sounded quite good but I dont have the same design limitation as box builders ...its just the group delay can be a bit disconcerting for bottom end.
Am wanting to only have a single driver visible and any bass porting/manifolds/pr will be constructed internally and vent as a downfiring output but the PR or whatever can be vertically mounted into a manifold as well
Considering these parameters; are there any recommendations. I mentioned PR because I saw Hexibase get pretty decent sub out of small drivers that was quite impressive
I have quite a number of ideas but will prob start off with this which is a stylized tusk and stands about 1.5m high to be a balance with the driver receiver being about 200mm
I use a proprietary sustainable masonry material called wood stone(TM) which can easily stop a 50 cal @200mm thick so its a very energy absorbing material and is quite tensile. About 0.6 the weight of concrete.
Ive done translation monitors which were at NAMM (all hand made so Im only a boutique artist kind of guy) so this gives an idea of the material applied

Given the enclosure volume you suggest, something like an 8 inch might make sense. I don't have experience with this one, but it was on my list of things to try last time I thought about larger full range drivers:

I haven't looked at HexiBase's videos lately, but you have to watch the sensitivity on some of that stuff. Very small subwoofers tend to have poor voltage sensitivity and significant output limitations. It's just the nature of the beast, not anything wrong with his designs.
From an aesthetic standpoint, have you considered recessing the driver into the enclosure? You could then do a sculptural grille that blends into/continues the enclosure shape. That could be significantly larger than the driver as well, to become more a part of the design. Gray grille cloth is pretty easy to find.

Coax FTW! 2 sets of terminals and external crossover or external active. Go for big ones, at least 7-8 inch driver.
Besides, I do not see the difference between single, 2, 3, 4... drivers. Is there some? Also your shape screams "I am a transmission line speaker!"
As this is kinda halo type of project, I suggest make is as little flawed also from acoustical type of view as possible. If you still want to make it as close to fullrange as you can - 2.5-3.5 inch fullrange in small 0.5-1L closed section and the resto for big supporting woofer/subwoofer.

I have been looking at the MAOP 11...the chn70 are so crazy in the right enclosure...I use them in my studio mix speakers (as part of a multi speaker monitoring...ATCs are the final check), Focal coaxials are the main hi res reference...but the chn are so easy for initial mixMark Audio?
After posting this...I saw the voight pipe and suddenly all fell into shape...but there seems to be a suggestion of air power and Im not keen on larger FR. Based on other suggestions and the ones here, then Im thinking 6-8" eg tangband subs in an opposed manifold loading, hidden in the bottom of the unit and the manifold venting as a downfire?

but I also have a white limestone with ivory tinge which is prob the most energy absorbent/right colour
In which case I might as well go 3.5" mid and go as a 3 way?
I generally use dsp (@96k) as I much prefer the linear phase xovers @24db and just so easy to tune them realtime. its just where I am comfortable as I have been mixing/audio for prob 40 years...I guess its what you get use to
