That wouldn't last very long in our neighborhood, but good luck.
What makes you think the whole neighborhood wants to hear you?Should I get these speakers for my whole neighborhood to hear me?
jeff
Such behaviour would be self-policed here in Glasgow.
Have you ever heard of the "Glasgow Kiss"?
Have you ever heard of the "Glasgow Kiss"?
Should I get these speakers for my whole neighborhood to hear me? ( Parties loud ones in outdoor spaces )
Also indoor for the window to be open and the neighborhood listening like a car is passing by with a sound system.
IRX 108 BT
Or
IRX 112 BT
Those things don't look so loud.
If you want to be LOUD and CLEAR and make sure the neighbors 1/8th of a mile can hear you clearly.. you NEED this.
That said, I'm happy you are a continent away from me. If one of my neighbors were to crank it up so that the whole neighborhood could hear, the cops would be here in a split second. Where I live, you can crank it up in your house, just keep the doors and windows closed.
Might be a block party where the whole neighborhood is expected to hear it, and everyone has agreed to do it.
In most places in this country you either have neighbors looking for excuses to shut down whatever you may be doing (to keep property values up and riff raff out) and the cops or at least the HOA will be all over it like flies on s***. Or you can’t get police help to save your soul, and having a boomin system just paints a big red target on you. At best case it ends up stolen, and worst case puts you in the morgue. It’s only a select few that can put enough distance between themselves and others that they can play their music as loud as they damn well please.

Or you can just close the doors and windows.
If you live in a single family house and it's reasonably well insulated, you're pretty much golden on such things. I always find it interesting when people go and spend $20K+ on audio systems and they live in apartments or condos.
My next preamp is gonna have a "12 - whole neighborhood" volume setting.
Oh yeah, you have to keep the riff raff out. You know, them with Bose Acoustimass audio systems that connect to their iPhones and their Teslas. I showed my latest set up to one of my old time lady neighbors and the first thing she said was that if I installed a nice built in cabinet it would very nice, "You could hide all of that!". She thought the little ANs looked very nice, they are, but she had no idea what the Maggies were. She thought they were architectural panels of some sort.
I admit she was correct from an Architectural Digest point of view, they have a baby grand in their living room...
Most people are amazed I got a turntable... in the living room audio salon no less.

Two hundred watts per channel, turned up till you just start to see clip lights is loud, but not THAT loud. Actual Who concert or Studio 54 levels will end up being more than 60 dB at the property line even with doors and windows closed. The argument is that nobody needs it that loud, which is true.
When one gets used to playing with real PA gear, the need to crank it up at home is actually reduced. You realize you’re just not going to get your stereo that loud (and still be clear) - and if you do set up the PA in the living room or out in the yard the cops will be there shortly. And of course there is an outlet for it, at a more appropriate time and place.

When I used to do the PA for a certain bluegrass group, they always complained that I turned it up too loud.
But, I'd say, I needed to hear it properly from the mixing board which was usually placed about 60 feet and it sounded sooo good to hear a 10 foot high banjo...
;-)
We're white punks on dope
Mom & dad moved to Hollywood
Hang myself when I get enough rope
Can't clean up, though I know I should

On 4th of July, the police here are too busy looking for people firing automatic weapons in the air to bother with music. I have 260 w/ch cs800s amp and two SP2 rated at 500 w rms. IRX112BT is only rated 300 w RMS. Across the street is a gasoline can factory in brick buildings built after the civil war.
Grant's and Sherman's supplies offloaded the train a mile away to be loaded onto ferries across the Ohio R.
My loudest experience was firing the 155 mm howitzer at ROTC camp 1969. Although the Engineers did fire a Nuclear simulator at the back fence of our maintenance facility in 1982. I thought somebody must have driven a M88 tow vehicle through a brick wall. I walked all around the star, viewing the mushroom cloud at the back fence.

As I recall, you did a little too much advertising and had some speakers (and other stuff) develop legs and walk away. In places where that tends not to happen, or automatic weapons fire for that matter, people make a big stink about other people’s music.
SP2 were visible through the windows to the street. Peavey logo was 8" high, 12' wide. Perp did some portion of 270 days sentence.
There was a shootout in a Elkhart IN grocery 2 days ago. 2 dead, two police injured. I wear a NIJ rated vest now to groceries and discount stores.

Yikes,.... here in Orange County, CA. our pervs are the White Collar kind... They don't bother with simple 250 buck stuff, they do it the White Collar way, they steal billions at a time.
Consequently they don't go to jail and get to keep their WIlson Chronosonics and D'Agostino Relentless components... they may have to yield the McLaren, 250GTO and Lambo, but they get to keep the Benz AMG and current Ferrari and enough moolah to keep the Wife With Enhancements.
Such is life... if you're gonna break the law... make it big. The biggest get pardoned, the smallest get to spend two months in jail in the Indiana State Prison.
Over here we don't need to wear a vest, we just gotta keep an eye on our bank accounts. And anything built before 1930 that has survived the quakes is considered "HISTORIC" - and damn lucky IMHO...
