I am restoring a Fisher RS-1015 receiver, and the parts list refers to some of the capacitors as being "sint alu" type. These caps are quite small and are polarized, and have low capacitance and voltage specs. I cannot find much about it, other than some recommendations that I just use normal electrolytics as substitutes. Can someone help me out with this? thanks! Brad
FWIW, Google AI says "A sintered aluminum capacitor is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a sintered anode foil. The sintering process creates a solid mass of aluminum powder using heat and pressure without melting it. The rough surface of the sintered aluminum foil increases its surface area, which improves the capacitor's capacitance" Also saw there was a 1975 paper on it... Not sure how to help you with the task though, sorry.
You should be able to find most off the shelf small electrolytics will work. The sintered thing was special for 1975 but not so much today.
