Apparently this was around Thanksgiving of last year. Jim published some white papers about Line Arrays, and additionally liked building TLs and open-back projects. He was a gentle soul, and I met him back at my first speaker event in Dayton in 2002, where he demoed the Linus Arrays.

His key paper on line arrays was incrediably useful to the many LA projects nand many of his A10 ML-TL have been made. He will be missed.

I'd forgotten he did the pairs of bipolar MLTL. Those were pretty neat.
Several that stick in my head are;
-The MTM with HIVI TN25 and a pair of Aura NS3 in an MLTL. They dug into the upper 30Hz range.
He was quite prolific.

- PHL/Aurum Cantus MTM, meant for a 1W amplifier.
- Jordan JX design
- FR125/WR125 bipolar mini towers.
- Smart as a Fence post, used my Audinums design in a plastic fence post MLTL.
- Linus Arrays
- I think these were called Needles, a single AC G1 ribbon, flanked by 8x or 12x W3-871S.
- open-back dipoles using the Hawthorne waveguided Beyma TPL150 to a B&C 10" at 900Hz, and 18" woofer.
- MLTL version of PaulC's Speedster.
He was quite prolific.
He was a great contributor to the hobby. I built his Jordan/AC ribbon speakers years ago and they were great!
Sad news indeed, he's been an inspiration to many of us and a huge asset for this community. He will be missed.
I'd missed this as I've only been able to drop in & out briefly this year. A huge loss to this & related communities, although nothing compared to that experienced by his family and friends of course. Jim was a really nice man, an extremely talented designer & his nearfield array papers are still the go-to introductions for designs of the type. Certainly, in the all-too-few conversations I had with him, he was a true gentleman, generous with his time and advice, an engineer with an artistic soul. God speed Jim, and many thanks -missed but not forgotten. My very best wishes and condolences to his family.
