I need to replace the 4 filter caps in a subwoofer plate amp. The stock caps are 10000uF, 80V, 30mm caps. I can't find anything close that will fit. Options: 1) use caps that will fit but are 6800uF 80V, 2) use caps that will fit but are 10000uF 63V, 3) bite the bullet and figure out a way to mount the caps in some way other than through the existing holes on the PCB (I don't really want to do this but I will if I have to).
I don't think height is a problem. The tallest 6800uF 80v caps will easily fit. 6800uF is the largest cap 80V =<30mm cap I can find from DigiKey or Mouser or Newark.
Yeah, wow. Just did a quick search through Mouser, DK, Jameco, Newark, Tyda, etc. Where have all the medium size, medium voltage caps gone!?!

Measure your voltage rails to see how close to 80V they are, and if less than +-60V then use 63V caps.
Digikey has 14 options in stock for 10,000uF @ 80V or 100V, depending on the lead spacing.
Choose the lowest ESR for your lead spacing of the ones that will fit.

I am going to guess the original capacitors were not made by a premium manufacturer? If you go to the well known quality brand AiSHi 😱 and do a search there is several alternatives. I guess if you order a couple of thousand pieces they will be happy to send you some. I have also come across this non standard components not listed in the datasheets in consumer products, it's the many options available to mass market manufacturers that causes problems later, the repairability of an amp like that was probably no concern at all when it was made. Se if you can find someone selling cheap brand capacitors on ebay or aliexpress maybe something pops up.
Chemi-Con, Cornell Dubilier, KEMET, Nichicon, and Rubycon (as in the Digikey list) are certainly all solid brands, and are widely distributed.
Digikey has a total of about 2000 pieces of these brands in 10,000uF at 80V or 100V. What's not to like? The rest is up to him.

The OP specified 30mm. Maybe the 35mm will fit. Just depends on how tight the real estate is on the PCB. I searched 30mm with 31.5mm max.Digikey has 14 options in stock for 10,000uF @ 80V or 100V, depending on the lead spacing.

Lead spacing and termination type are also needed for selecting a suitable replacement. I would assume snap-in termination, but that needs to be stated.
And none of them are 30mm or less. They won't fit on the board.Digikey has 14 options in stock for 10,000uF @ 80V or 100V, depending on the lead spacing.
