Yes, tinternet only mentions microbiology, but if you have heard of Alchemist or Beard Audio then you might know of Chris as an audio designer, the VDAC was his valve based dac that he launched on his own, sold as a kit that diy ers could assemble for themselves. There used to be stuff on the internet about it . 25 bit asynchronious.
Is is actually V-DAC? Like this: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...-and-teardown-of-musical-fidelity-v-dac.9825/
If not, then what does VDAC stand for? What does it look like?

VDAC stands for Valve Dac. It had a pair of 6SN7 valves in the output. Nothing to do with Musical Fidelity. It was a Chris Found design made in very small numbers and sold directly. He worked for Bill Beard previously.
There are some comments about it by you in other threads here in the forum: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/my-new-tube-dac-output.13873/post-819299
Apparently it used SRPP. There is also an active tube SRPP thread in the forum right now. Some people seem to like it a lot.

From what is left of the website, VDAC 4 was able to use a number of B9 based valves whereas VDAC 3 had 4 6SN7s.It was a Chris Found design made in very small numbers and sold directly. He worked for Bill Beard previously.
rfbrw, you say there is something left of a website somewhere, I’ve been searching a while now, how did you get there please? Was it safe?!
Thankyou- do I need to pay them to see anything? I’ve entered cfmedia but all I get are statistics about how many times it has been ‘crawled’ etc, no pages of info, what should I be doing to acheive results please?
