I am in the process of changing the capacitors in my JPW GOLD speakers. The writing on the existing capacitors is buried in glue. Does anyone know the capacitance and voltage values please?
I'm coming up a blank on a crossover schematic for the JPW GOLD Monitor, or a clear photograph of the components on its crossover board.
It looks like you may have to remove the glue by some means in order to read the capacitance value, or measure it with a multimeter incorporating a capacitance scale.
The capacitor voltage rating does not require to be high in this small domestic speaker - 50/70 V would be sufficient.
P.S. I believe these speakers hail from the late nineties, so the original bipolar electrolytic capacitors are likely still within spec.
