Hi all,
I have previously repaired this amplifier. The output inductors are running extremely hot to the point the amp shuts down. Does anyone know the spec of the inductors.
I have measured the inductors with my LCR.
Inductor 1 : 1.6ohm ; 0.07mH (70uH)
Inductor 2 : 1.4ohm ; 0.07mH(70uH)
are these values correct or out of spec.

How hot do they get if left to idle for 10 minutes (confirm that output stage is oscillating while idling).
What's the oscillation frequency at idle?
Are there thermistors on the inductors?
How hot is 'extremely hot'?

After 10min they reach about 70 deg celcius at idle
I calculated 125khz at idle (1/(2uS*4 div)
I dont see any thermistors.

Why do you think the heating of the inductors is the reason it's shutting down?
Note the idle current draw and temperature. Then run the amp to shutdown and recheck both as soon as the amp will again power on and post both sets of numbers.
