Capacitor replacement?

What should I have in mind when replacing a bipolar capacitor for the tweeter in these speakers? Should I just get the closest value I can?

If that is the case I can get ahold of some Jantzen Audio Cross Caps at 8.2 uf if they will work

Yes, with 50V or higher rating.

You could put two 1.8 uF and two 2.2 uF in parallel and get 8.0 uF. Both values could be 160 V rated polypropylene types.

True! Or a 4.7 and a 3.3 to save some space

Also, should i bother with a resistor in series to compensate for the lower esr of the film Caps?

No because the tweeter coil itself is plenty of resistance, the ESR won't be significant in comparison.
