Hi,
I bought a few off eBay over the years, but not selling any of them since I use them for testing power supplies and amps. There are two versions, ATT-???? need to look up the numbers, one type is for 110/120V and the other is 110/120 to 220/240 with primary taps. I have never heard of a dead Pioneer transformer but have had a bad Sansui.
Some of these transformers have internal thermal fuses.
I have eBay messaging setup for notifications on pioneer transformers, they come by all the time, mostly lower end units like for a sx-636 and infrequently for a sx-1050
Good luck

Maybe an TF from an old Harman Kardon HK670 Receiver will do the Job? Have four of them.
Its 600VA with primary 110/220V and secondary 4 x 30V and 1x 12V.

I used one of the sx-1050 transformers in the Sansui g-7500 that cooked it’s original but it’s mechanical rearranging that has to take place
The post rectifier voltages are as follows. l supposed we could interpolate the AC winding voltages by multiplying by .707.
This one is the international version with multivoltage primary. Number ATT-290 stamped on it.
Or maybe I could ask Toroidy in Poland to build an equivalent. They did a fantastic job on a Counterpoint SA100 rebuild for me a few years ago.

I am sorry to say I have a att-290 on my bench right now testing out a new AWR-054.
You have not said what is exactly wrong with your att-290?
1) Primary opens?
2) Primary? blows fuses with open secondaries?
3) secondaries open? it has 3 coils, 2 are center tapped.

Maybe try searching using the Pioneer part number (from the service manual), or the mfg (usually Bando) part number printed on the transformer, in case that transformer was used in other models?
One last test, pull it out onto the bench 🙂 stand alone, simple testShorted primary. and #2.
1) wire up primary for 120V op thru a dim lamp, min 100W incandescent. glo (brightly) or no light?
on the att-290 for 120V op,
blk/wht -> N
grey/brn -> L
red, yel -> open
S:
2 red,wh -> open
2 yel, 2 grn, brn -> open
2 blu -> open
hoping that the light does not shine.
the att-290 is unique to the sx-1050S(SG/H) and the EU black face version sx-5580.
