So, the kit of the AtiRi has been bought and I am thinking of pumping it up and make a Kawero Classic clone (kind of) out of it.
But I need your help regarding the bass segment.
My plan is simple, take the two way AtiRi (15Liter) and put on a 40Liter bass reflex cabinet. untill now same as Kawero.
The woofer I will use for the 40Liter is the 10inch Faitalpro RS350. it will be driven by Hypex Fa501.
Now, I really really want to nail this bass, clean accurate, powerful.
So the following ideas are:
1. 40liter-bass reflex with one RS350 10inch driver
2. 40liter- closed cabinet with one RS350 10 inch driver -infinite baffle
3. 40liter- Closed cabinet with Two!! RS350 10 inch driver
I know its more about opinions and everything is a compromise but it would be great to hear your preferences.
Thanks!

Insert a dip circa -3 dB between 120 Hertz up to 300. Bass will sound powerful, clear and accurate.
😉
A 10" is ordinarily capable of plenty of bass, but there are applications for more displacement than a 10" can provide. In my preferred scenario this will be provided by subs, not the main speaker.
I think I will build a test cabinet to test it out. A single 10inch vs 2 10inch in closed cabinet will be very intresting indeed
If you don’t mind limiting to ~30Hz, try building the lower part with a passive radiator like Jeff Bagby’s Helios. Still some of the best bass I’ve heard.
I think I will stick to critical damping (large cloud cabinet). Just to avoid more complications.. in this design the 6.5 midrange has a rear passive radiator (8inch)and it will probably be hard work enough to integrate the 10inch 40liter closed cabinet with it. At least using the Hypex fa501 I have freedom to do it.If you don’t mind limiting to ~30Hz, try building the lower part with a passive radiator like Jeff Bagby’s Helios. I have noticed that I jumped a head too soon, here are some more process photos.

Slow progress but progress nonetheless
Thanks and na, that would mean being stuck again with half finnished speakers. It's usually very hard to put the work in it when they are already playing.Very nice indeed, but weren’t you intending to build test cabs first?
And building some oligarch platform for the speakers
