Just curious of what other thinks about this.
Before buying, how this SMSL RAW MDA-1 dac would compare to my Oppo 105D?
Oppo with 2014's tech 9018 /LM4562 amps or 2023's SMSL 9039Q2M /OPA1612...Mmmmm!

I would probably bet on the SMSL. For one thing, there is some history to Oppo sound quality, which eventually may have related to why Oppo went out of business. In any case, ES9039Q2M is is a newer ESS product and likely to sound better than any of the older ESS dac chips which were used while Oppo was still around.
