2.5 to 4 inch best price quality ratio

Hello all,

i looking to make a secondary system to put in my office. (i spend many hours) actually i have a pair of chr70 in stock i find them not very good against my MAOP10 and SB20
when i see the money i have put in my sb20FRPC30, it's wonderful even if the maop10 are better
the idea is to find like the sb20 something with a wonderfull price quality ratio.
i have seen aiyma drivers wich are cheap but i have never listen
i would like to make a low volume 2-15 liter internal boxes, or a mini onken or an affordable waw
What can you advise me?

i'm not completly sure that a small spaeker will really move correctly the passive radiator. i prefer rest on my idea of a full rage.
i have forget to tell the speaker will not be really close to me not like computer speaker but at 2-3m in a 20 sqm room

Small speakers work fine with passive radiators, as long as the passive has proper specifications. I've used passive radiators with both the TB 2 inch (W2-2040S) and 3 inch (W3-1876S) "subwoofers" in enclosure volumes around half a liter. If you add excessive mass you lose output at lower frequencies, but the models show that as well so it's not an unexpected result. If you can't achieve low end performance similar to that of a vented enclosure, there's probably a mismatch between the driver/enclosure and passive radiator.

does the CHN-50p mica will be as weet to listen that my maop10.2? because on this system there will not have any correction and directly corded to amp
is it usable alone or it's really for use with a sub?

Paper, so i expect a more vintage top, a bit more seductive than the metal cones thru the midrange and less DDR. The CHN would be considered among the low end if the range, A10.2 the top of the range witha price some 20x.

A Sub is needed ifyou need real bass — they should so a good job of faking it ie good at doing the first harmonic — or need to play louder.

Seems you sadly have not experienced what some pricier FRs are capable of.

No need to, not interested in beamy highs or IMD. I like neutral speakers with great dispersion and low diffraction which full rangers just can't deliver. Until someone manages to defy physics with one I do not see that changing anytime soon. Full range is just taking steps backwards in terms of audio reproduction.
