Interesting, never heard of these transformers before. But the big question here is: are they any good?
I've used their products in a couple of projects: Their small 8k/5k:4-8-16R SE OPT is good for the money, same with the chokes. The mains transformers I've bought from them buzzes a bit, but so does nearly every other transformer that I connect to the mains in my house.
I've been thinking about contacting them about a custom mains transformer for an upcoming project, properly oversized and calculated from low flux density.

Cheap and good quality👍Interesting, never heard of these transformers before. But the big question here is: are they any good?
I looked up the "Push Pull 20W 8k/4-8Ohm EL84-6V6" transformer.
Be really nice if the specifications told you more about the transformer. Sadly few vendors disclose basic specifications on the transformers they sell.
Basic things like Primary DCR, Secondary DCR, Primary inductance, leakage inductance and the actual turns ratio (for example does the listed impedance ratio include the DCR losses or not?)
So given the same description provided you could be looking at a very nice transformer or a very poor one.
It does give the weight so that is helpful.
There little you can predict in the performance of this transformer except by buying one and doing your own measurements and tests.
I find that process pretty non-ideal as a customer. I have ended up with too many "duds".

Just ordered a pair this morning.Their small 8k/5k:4-8-16R SE OPT is good for the money

Any plans for them? The first pair I bought was for a pair of 807 mono blocks where I wanted to see if that tube would sound any good operating at a high plate voltage (370V) with a...flat? shallow? non-steep loadline, hence the 8k plate load.Just ordered a pair this morning
The transformers turned out to be well worth the 60E each, especially since they also look very nice with their black endbells.
I liked them so much that that I quickly ordered one more pair for my T20 amp, where they also do a good job even if I could have wished for slightly larger cores.
In fact, I might even order a third pair for my future 8025A SET but I'm afraid the italians might think we eat small SE OPTs up here in the north. We're already having a culinary beef with Italy since that incident with the banana&curry pizza became viral...
I'm currently waiting for a few chokes and a bunch of transformer covers from Piemme for my upcoming 300B SET, should arrive early next week.
I use both my pairs with the 16R taps connected to the cathodes as CFB, give it a try if you want to test something different.Another RH-84 is my plan
Piemme-Electra is a good company that makes transformers for both industrial and audio uses, even if I haven't personally tried them, I have a friend who has mounted them in the system with satisfaction.
They are of medium quality range, in terms of construction better than the Novarria of Milan.
An excellent builder was Bartolucci, but now he seems to no longer operate. Instead, I would like to point out Megaherz in southern Italy (they claim to be among the best in Europe, but I have never listened to them), they are still of excellent quality but quite high prices.

Another one that came to mind now is A.E.I. Onori, in center Italy.
This company produces transformers of quality (especially for power supply) but also output transformes, as per the link below. The prices seem to be not to high. Sure they are better than Piemme-Electra.
I know that one manufacturer (on the net called Audiodarex) which lends itself to making some Audionote clones to privates used Onori in the output stages.

The "https://www.onori.com/it/scheda-prodotti.php?id=43" seems impossible to use. No english, no reasonable search methods.
Thanks Merlin, the attached PDF is indeed at the bottom of the linked site. It reports specification in english.
If you read on the web, around 10-15 years ago took orders that never delivered. It could be that he went bankrupt. An excellent builder was Bartolucci, but now he seems to no longer operate.
Yes caution is a must when you have to deal for with small companies/builders, especially you know little about.
Anyway, I heard about these negative experiences with Bartolucci. In my opinion he had little demand and tried to cheat in some way.
A similar thing was about to happen to me too a few years ago when I ordered a pair of 2A3s from a seller, who only accepted bank transfers. He had really a lot of tubes in his nice site. Luckily I finally received the goods...

Hi to all, Please find next "Thermionic Lab" Thermionic Lab link which i find it as most value for money among many other transformer makers comparing it's products with the today;s prices and specs.
