I read this forum a lot. Solid info here. Recently designed and 3d printed synergy horns loaded with silverflutes and peerless tweeters all base off info from this forum. Joined to enquire about roar15 driver selection. Thanks.
They are still in the prototype stage. I plan to make them twice as big. I used the oblate spheroid profile to make the horn. The peerless tweeters have about a 2.25 inch deep throat before the first flare which dropped its bandwidth from about 1400hz to below 750. Although Right now theyre crossed at 1550 where the silverflute 5.5 takes over.
Here with the 30ppi filter removed. It, nor the phase plug attempt really do much. The next iteration will have a helix phase plug like the new b&c dome compression drivers.
Overall they are very satisfying. They need an extraordinary amount of eq but the payoff is an enormous sound stage and the best imaging I've had yet. Also they get concert loud. They do shout on certain poorly mixed material mostly old movies. But eq will tame it to reasonable levels. Eventually I will line it with more 30ppi dacron and see what happens.

Wow great project, thanks for the images!still in the prototype stage
These are oc25 dome tweeters, right?
yeah i love those tweeters. huge improvement over the mark audio ch-120 by itself. not seen in the pic is my stereo lfe channel behind the lp with 14hz extension. right now the ch-120 is the weak link and am considering replacing them with ROAR15.
silverflute 5.5
I have foundtheW`4 to be a real stand out.

there's hardly a better driver at 25$. I was worried they would sound bad in the synergy because of extremely high compliance, but they sound good to my ears. I've never heard a synergy besides mine though so idk how good it can be.
Edit: guess I mean unity or meh, since it's not a danley

MEH is the generic term yes, i still call them Synergies.

Can't seem to find it. Is there a thread for it?bin Tyson V2, a pair push-push in an ML-TL.
I remember seeing your drivers with the dots on them years ago when I built the DNA horns pictured above. I bought the paper Alpair 10p for them originally and had considered having the treatment done.A coat of puzzlekoat/modPodhe to treat the paper coone of the W14 does improvethings IME.
