The drawer wont come out but I'm not sure it's the same problem I repaired 15 years ago with the CDM-9 transport. Here's a close up video of what happens when I press the eject button:

It doesn't seem to. I think when it broke before it was the plastic gear thing that had broken (that beige plastic circle with the black rubber band I show in the video) - a common fault because they used the wrong type of lube. But this time it doesn't seem to try to move and there's no grinding noise or anything.

I would suspect that these sort of measurements and more will be necessary. If you feel uncomfortable with these then it would be best to and it over to qualified technicians.I suppose I could try ... I'm not that technical though to be honest.
