The drawer wont come out but I'm not sure it's the same problem I repaired 15 years ago with the CDM-9 transport. Here's a close up video of what happens when I press the eject button:

It doesn't seem to. I think when it broke before it was the plastic gear thing that had broken (that beige plastic circle with the black rubber band I show in the video) - a common fault because they used the wrong type of lube. But this time it doesn't seem to try to move and there's no grinding noise or anything.
I suppose I could try. I have a voltmeter somewhere. I'm not that technical though to be honest. Where are the motor leads?
I would suspect that these sort of measurements and more will be necessary. If you feel uncomfortable with these then it would be best to and it over to qualified technicians.
