Is the um18 22 the daddy for 30hz down?
No other driver models like it..I have been looking for 18s-21s QTS 0.4 ish for sealed subs. but nothing beats the um18.. I have rosso 21s and they need room gain to perform where the um18 does not.. These are the only drivers I have heard. So what driver would you try?? B+C 18 IPAL? expensive! Are drivers for sealed subs rare?

Lets see if I can get this moving. I have been looking at the faital pro 18xl This has equal xmax to the um18, higher BL but a lower mass . The qts is just right for what i want to test and its cheaper than um18. All four of my drivers have a high Q so I have never experienced a lower Q driver.. I have a eq on my subs that lowers the Q theoretically but I want to hear the difference.. Or I could put my subs my massive boxes but that won't solve anything but bring down the power handling. 2x um18 2x sb rosso sw21
Some say the faital pro 18xl is suited more for a ported arrangement.. I am beginning to get a good understanding about subwoofer drivers but I still have 100000 questions

Iam not into subs so I can only give you some general suggestions.
The Faital driver can work in fairly small 70 liter sealed box, giving F3~64Hz and Qtc~0,7
From then, you can equalise it to bring it down by one octave or so, which should be enough for any resonable use.

Some of the B&C stuff is pretty good spec wise. Likely close to what you're looking for. May be a little higher Fs but very capable with lower tuning.
I have fatial in my site but will need to put it a bigger box at about 250L in order to bring the power handling downIam not into subs so I can only give you some general suggestions.

I think powering your way out of small box a drastically reduces SQ! big statement! what is your opinion
ANY driver will work in a sealed enclosure - the question is more one of efficiency. If you're prepared to throw a lot of power and EQ at a driver, it will work.
Is efficiency of the uppermost importance in your design; amplifier power is cheap these days - what's your application, and what spl at what frequency in what environment are your targets?
