advice for pass labs amplification

Hello, I currently have a mcintosh ma8900 that I use as a pre-amp with my 2 mono pass Xa60 for Tannoy Kensington speakers. I could replace it with an XP12 but I am advised to sell everything and replace with an int25 or int60. What do you think?

Before spending a lot of money, always try it out first.
