Even if I never was a big country music follower, I knew and admired him and his music.

He made a few tunes I enjoyed, too & I thought he was well-casted and good in the original "Blade" movies years ago.
I JUST finished listening to Michael McDonald's audiobook "What A Fool Believes" and Michael had some nice things to say about him.
