I've just acquired a Toshiba SR 300c Turntable and there ain't much happening with it. Plugged in motor doesn't turn. Is there any newbie guides out there to steer me into what I should initially check. I'm looking for this to be my first foray into TT renovation hoping to learn along the way. 🙏

It's a simple belt drive turntable so should be an easy fix.
All your views are of the underside. Have you actually removed the platter to check if the belt is broken, turned to glue or slack?

Yeah I've put up some on pics.
The belt is missing but I would expect the motor to kick in when cued.

1. The motor bearings may require re-lubrication. Check if the motor spindle turns freely when you spin it by hand.
2. Identify the microswitch that the tonearm operates to start the motor and inspect its condition. It may need a squirt of contact cleaner.
Please post a photo of the top of the deck with platter removed.

Try turning the large black gear cam (in the indicated direction) in order to cycle through the auto process. That may bring you to a point where the motor operates.
While you're there, check that the central platter spindle is turning freely in its bearing. This may require lubrication.
