Hi all,
what is a good not too expensive modern usb soundcard for use with measuring.
I allready have a mic pre-amp (mpa102) and a mc8000 mic.
I want to use it for Arta, REW, Limp etc.
Thanks!

Thanks, regarding the focusrite, that is also a micpreamp no?
I allready have a good preamp, so would need a good usb soundcart without preamp, i am comming from a Behringer and am not happy with it (uca202) as it doesn’t show up in inputs.

The problem is the products that you'll likely get the most recommendations for (called "audio interfaces", like the popular Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 or MOTU M4) that folks tend to use with those software packages already come with built-in preamps. The "good" audio interfaces usually have pretty good converters, maybe good preamps, too. Maybe better than the one you already have? Just a thought... (But I have to say that I haven't looked at mic preamps). I've happily used a 2nd Gen Scarlett 2i2 for a few years and switched to a MOTU M4 late last year to use with ARTA, REW and Multi-Instrument.

As mlloyd said, you will not really find any USB soundcards with no pre's or pre bypass under 500-600$, they would not really sell in that market segment so its usually a pro feature.
Maybe more relevant search for you would be just "USB a/d converter".
Anyway, generally a lot of them nowadays with gain set to 0 are quite low thd+n, and depending what you're measuring (you did not say) could be way more than enough. For measuring amps speakers and diy DAC's it is even overkill.
If you want to browse interfaces more methodically here is this resource

Go to "audio electronics" tab, and put "ADC" in search
Or i can save you the trouble and tell you Topping E2x2 is cleanest ADC you'll get for a reasonable cost
Behringer cards with inserts will bypass the mic pre when those are used. This greatly improves the adc distortion. Unfortunately they still have a relatively low output level though. I'd probably choose a focusrite instead given the similar prices.
