Upgrade Celestion DL10 speaker and sell or strip components and sell seperately

Hi
Apologies for all the newbie posts.

I have a pair of Celestion DL10 to my ears they sound great but I don't think they go for much on the 2nd hand market.

I will be selling them. But I can't make a decision on m, the two options below.

1. Replace the caps, clean check soldering, reseal, check wadding, and replace grill cloth. <£sell?>
2. Strip out current components (drivers, cabinets, crossovers tweeters. All original) and sell them individually. I should say that the caps don't look like they are past it 🤔 <£sell?>

where is the demand for either option? is there such a thing as a Objective view point?

I have observed that a well known auction site is bursting at the seams with second hand speakers/drivers and sellers who are invariably asking unrealistically high prices for them. Unsurprisingly, many if not most of these items simply languish on the site.

Let's face it, listening habits have moved on and there's a dwindling number of people interested in having huge loudspeakers in their living room.

Personally I think the demand will be low whatever path you decide to take. Price the items low and hope there is one person out there who just can't live without them!

If your time is money, it may actually be more profitable to take them to the recycling centre!

From your fellow Scotsman with hard love. 😍
