Yaqin SD-CD3 Tube Buffer

Anyone have any experience with these? Someone is selling one locally.

Was hoping that is might make the sound from my system more interesting.

It comes with stock tubes: 6N8P. Any thoughts on best value replacements for these tubes?

A quick Google search for "6n8p equivalent tube" would have certainly given you some information.

The Russian 6N8S is a pretty decent tube, similar to the 6SN7GT. I do not know about the Chinese version (6N8P). Which one you got?
In any case, a cathode follower does not add a lot to the sound, unless it's not properly biased.
