I not sure this is the correct place for this question. We just moved to a rural home and lost all my over air DTV signals. Has anyone built a DTV amplifier?
Before trying to amplify an RF signal that may be too weak to deal with - check first and make sure that you actually can receive a usable signal. Try a site like: https://www.antennaweb.org/ to see what kind of reception you can get at your location & what kind of antenna you might need.
The first line of attack would be by selecting the appropriate type of antenna, where it needs to be (probably rooftop, given "rural home" and which way to point it.
