Locally a feller has an 18" old-school Kicker subwoofer. I've never seen one and this was apparently a spur of the moment purchase by him years ago.
I've been offered a listen but it's a long drive and before I'm tempted to make "A reasonable offer" I wonder if anybody here has ever come across one.
Only detail he has given me is that the recommended box size is 4.5 cubic feet

Ideally you want the model number, so you can find the T/S-parameters, that'll tell you most you want to know. Based on the photograph it looks like an entry level car subwoofer.
Is it for your car?

No and I'm not buying it but these early Kickers work well for Home Theatre if you want to build a box big enough.
I've just never seen an 18" Kicker driver and was interested, there is one on the evil auction site asking $1500- tho

Seems like I experienced some at a competition at Road Atlanta circa 2000. Certainly nothing cheap about them! 18" Kicker
