Eminence Beta 6A

A single Beta 12A has slightly more displacement potential (Sd times Xmax) than four Beta 6A, so could equal the low frequency SPL for a lot less cost.
The four Beta 6A would have more upper midrange output potential.

The center to center distance between four 6" drivers in a tower will cause a lot of vertical "comb filtering", peaks and dips in the response, so the midrange would not be as clear or smooth as a single 12", even with a crossover in the 1.2kHz range.

For a PA application, the 4x6" could have a slight advantage over 1x12", but for home use the sonic disadvantages outweigh them.
