RCF ND640 on HF94 horn

Hello guys,
I just received my New rcf Nd640 drivers and rcf HF94horns.
The horns are delivered with 2 throat. One for 1 inch and One for 1.4inch drivers.
But the nd640 (1.4inch throat) does not fit on the 1.4 inch throat adapter. It does fit on the 1 inch throat adapter.
Is it okay to use the 1 inch throat with the 1.4 inch driver? Or does it negatively affect the sound?

No, you will get an erratic fr. If I get this right, the screw/bolt pattern doesn't match. if you use the adapter for 1", there will be reflections within the horn/driver space because of the steps in diameter and the resulting reflects and resonances will thoroughly destroy the dispersion, fr and impulse decay. If that's the issue, you need to get (or build yourself) a hole pattern adapter plate. Or just use a different horn, the HF94 is known to be difficult with a lot of drivers. Switch to a different horn and sell the HF94.

Yes, There are no holes in the 1.4 inch throat that match the nd640 bolt pattern 🙁
I read the nd640 goes great with the hf94. My baffle is pretty narrow. The Hf94 just fits. I have looked for other horns, but haven found any that would fit unfortunately.
Any suggestions wel ome!

The Beyma TD 385 got a similar dispersion pattern (80x50°), similar in size (235 mm square) and should fit from the hole pattern. And if it doesn't fit the pattern, there's enough space to drill a new set of holes. The downside is, its cutoff frequency is 800Hz. Do you need to go down to 500Hz?

Doesn't fit how... the bolt holes don't line up? If so is there any way you can drill new holes in the flange of the adapter?

The HF94 doesn't have a flange, it got support struts.

On the pictures with a flange (like this one), it's shown with the 1" adapter (which is a PITA in itself)

No, there is only 1 adapter. The horn is native 1,4" and with the adapter it's 1". I thought I could not be any clearer, without adapter it's 1,4" and with it it's 1". 1,4" - no flange, Just struts. 1" - Flange.

E: I never had that horn in my hands but a lot of ppl complained about the adapter and bad behaviour using it with the 1" adapter + 1" drivers. It is reported to work nicely on a number of 1,4" drivers. I don't know if there should be a different adapter, nothing is mentioned in the data sheet.

Well, where does it say 2"? Last time I counted an opening of 1" and one of 1,4 inch makes ..two.. throats? And if that's two, wouldn't a 2" make it three instead? It seems counting is not your strong suit.

The horns came with two throat adapters. They should be mounted on the struts. One for 1" drivers, and One for 1.4" inch drivers.
But the 1.4" adapter does not have any holes that fit the nd640.
The 1" adapter does have 4 fitting holes for the nd640.

But I found a good way to drill the holes in the 1.4 "adapter. I mount both on top of eachother with the adapteplate pacing eachother. That way the holes are nicy aligned and allowes me to drill the missing holes in the 1.4" plate.

Stupid the holes are missing. Already contacted RCf about that.
But I'll manager.

Btw I'm dutch hahaha.
