Thank you Hans, I am still hesitating a bit due to the SMD soldering, but if nobody wants to part i might go that way.
Once you master SMD soldering, you have a whole new universe of parts to chose from.
It's not particularly difficult but you must get the knack of it.
A good advice I followed myself years ago is buy one of those 'SMD training kits' that float around on the 'net; just a bunch of parts and a PCB that doesn't do anything but lets you get up to speed with it quickly.

I wouldn't mind a pair of completed boards myself. I have a problem with smd soldering. I rather buy the working boards, do the assembly and enjoy it.
BTW is there a power supply to go with it?
