Hi all,
I feel this should be basic knowledge, maybe I am using the wrong search terms or phrases, but spent 2 evenings (several hours) searching how to do this and came up blank
I am looking at building my first amplifier - I am looking at a class AB board from AliExpress which needs a 30v-0v-30v AC input.
I found what I thought was a suitable AC transformer but would like to ask How do i wire the 4 wires of the transformer to the board?
It has 230v input and 2 x 30v output AC?
Would anyone have a sketch or drawing showing how to connect?
I cant save individual images from the listing to show but here are the links to the items I am looking to purchase. photos in description

This is the toroidal transformer i was going to use

You join the two 30 volt windings in series. If they are marked 0-30 and 0-30 then the 30 of one joins to the 0 of the other. The join is now the 0V and you have 30 volt AC on each other end as measured from the join.
Note... to check you have it correct measure end to end and you should see 60 volts AC. If you measure zero volts end to end instead and yet have 30 volts AC from the join to each end then simply reverse the connections to just one of the secondaries.
They should look like this:

The link you provided is not a 2x 30VAC secondary transformer. It has 4 secondaries, 60VCT, 33VCT, 13.5V, and 7.5V, and the shipping cost is almost twice the price of the transformer.
Hi, both Steve and Turbo are right. Both about trafo from China and how to identify 4 correct wires.
Search here a bit about local trafo suppliers. Trafo is hart of an amp, if its not good it is just frustration, and most expensive one to throw away if it's not good.
Otherwise, welcome and good luck and fun with audio adventures!
