Revisiting XOC1 TH18 EPA Mod 30Hz with SBA 18SW1900D

Guys,
does anyone have the plan for the moded XOC1 TH18 made by EPA
i was looking on my SUB plans folders and cant find it

while browsing trough my HR saved screens i found the EPA screen and when on it
i simmed some drivers and the

SB Audience Nero-18SW1900D 18"

caught my eye on how it sims ,looks good
it can take 1kw to hit xmax at 30hz
the sompresion ratio is almost 3:1

does a BL of 28 for that driver will cut
not risking the driver cone get shredded to pieces ?

A BL of 28.5 is fairly high for an 8 ohm driver.
More Bl means a stronger motor, capable of exerting more force which can shred the cone if enough current is drawn at a high acoustical loading frequency.

A heavier cone is required to withstand the force. The Mms of 307.6 seems in line with the mass of other drivers with similar Bl that have stood up to the forces encountered in TH enclosures.

if somebody need to do some CNC
here are the STL and DWG files
I zipped the DWG files as the board wont let you UL with a DWG
extension
Enjoy

This is really great and really timely, thanks @maxolini 🙂 Ive been eying off the TH18 as a step up from the tham15 for a little more low end extention. The SB Audience are easily accessible here in my country so this looks very promising. Its a 24kg driver, wonder what would that make a loaded cab weigh? 😬

If I am not mistaken you need 2 sheets of 18mm ply or 2 of 3/4" , weight between ,27 to 34kg

Let's say 30...so 30 times 2 is 60!!
And when add 24kilos for the driver

So around 84kilos, just ballparking numbers
