Has anybody used it as a midrange yet and could offer some insight on how wide a bandwidth it's happy with?
Still thinking about my Tarkus inspired big speaker and These were actually cheaper than the Peerless although I see that they are back to $109- at Wagner I paid less than half that. If I cross them at my usual 300 to 3000 how loud but still clean would I go assuming plenty of clean power?

Quickly modelling says 103dB at 100 watts but i think Jeffs program isn't working properly as It's telling me to give this little driver 33 litres sealed when Wagners are advising 7 to 10 litres

Listening to the driver naked it's quite nice but a little forward compared to my Vifa P-13s, maybe I'm hearing some of that higher order rubbish above 3k.
I'll try and find a small coil and a cap and listen to it crossed in a wide bandwidth first order

This is a great little driver. However, I would suggest crossing lower than 3,000Hz for various reasons. The main one being; it will start to beam at approx. 2365Hz. (145mm diameter). For reference.

You also don't want to push this driver near it's breakup... especially if you're chasing 'loud'. However, it all depends on your entire system and your desired SPL. If you are using as a midrange, 33 litres is far too large.

Peace.
Vance.

I modeled in 10 and 7 litres, looked better in 7 but that is a pretty small box, I'm happy to cross lower but passive around 150/ 200 starts to be costly, Looking at the venerable Vifa D26 Aluminium dome for this so 2500 is possible. Also maybe one of the bigger SBA tweeters
I've got 100uF and 1mH on it at the moment and much better to listen to .

While I was listening to it naked; and after some fiddle factor introduced it sounded good; I'd be using it as a midrange crossing down low.
I just like my midrange drivers to have boxes somewhat larger than the normal Q= 1
