Owned some years Manger drivers for diy pair of loudspeakers.

Must say that its a special driver not easy to use.

I can understand why they gave up selling it to all people.

One aspect is the difficulty to give it proper housing and adequate damping as the fragile "cone" does not want any damping too close behind it and if not properly damped you hear more than with other fullrange drivers cavity resonances passing through the thin foil outside.

I had a hard time with it because in the 1990ies I had no measurement equipment of my own but was unhappy with the design proposals from the manufacturer.

However could sell it for a good price again.

Even professionals often had several update releases of their design.

I have been at Mellrichstadt Mr Manger offering listening test to me and my brother.

Anectode: He said that from the stand point of making a bending wave transducer the thin paper cones of fullranges of the tube era were already good/interesting.
