RIP my beloved queen of sad songs.
She once said: "... there's only 7 notes in a scale, the number of permutations is limited..."
The "permutation" she achieved in Le temps de l'amour, off of a basic 1-4-5 progression, is pure beauty.

He first song became an instant hit in 1962. That's exactly 62 years ago...

This song in itself was a sad story: Ms Hardy wrote both the music and the lyrics herself; but, because of her young age then, and her inability to read and write music charts, she was advised to assign the credits for the music to Roger Samyn who worked for Vogue, the record company. Basically, Ms Hardy only pocketed half of the royalties for her first 12 songs.
Beautiful stuff most all of which in at least 120 format film. That B&W 120 in many ways changed my life. Plus she had a 750/4 when they first arrived. That is a beast of a bike for her. The Dream 305 would of been a closer match. We had a vintage bike show roll thru a decade ago. And there was a pro gal team that raced trimmed down 305's that were hardly larger than a mountain bike. It was just amazing with a bunch of long legged gals in black leather. Those bikes were running up to 120mph. Between them and the sidecar races it was bike heaven. Sadly it never swung back thru. It beat Barber as far as racing hands down. But no museum on site..
