Automatic Clip Limiting (ACL)
The automatic clip limiting (ACL) circuit protects both the speakers and the fidelity of the
square wave damage. When the amplifier reaches its maximum output power
(the point where the amplifier begins to cut), the ACL circuit automatically reduces the gain by
amplifier to prevent the signal from being clipped. Situations in which ACL can be activated
are: uncontrolled feedback, oscillations or incorrect adjustment of the equipment or
malfunctions occurring in front of the amplifier. Normal program transients do not
do not trigger LCA, only constant or excessive clipping. The access control list is
virtually transparent during operation and signal bandwidth is maintained.
Instantaneous Gain Modulation (IGM)
Instantaneous Gain Modulation (IGM) is an innovative impedance sensing circuit that allows
the CKd amplifier to operate safely, whatever the load. When the amplifier sees
a load overloads the output stage, the IGM circuit reduces the channel gain to a safe level.
Like the ACL, the IGM circuit is acoustically transparent in normal operation.
