Who makes a very good 8 inches bass unit for sealed box application? Vifa? Seas? What about Morel?

Is Morel MW-266 required a very large cabinet volume in sealed enclosure? Crossover point between 300-400Hz LP

You are looking for a bass?
Low pass 3-450 hz ?
Meaning you want a bass/ midbass as lowest part of a 3-way.
Give info on the mid range and tweeter.
Is the 8" size a requirement? One driver , multiple acceptable?
Give info on your budget in total for these drivers.
Size constraints for the enclosures.
SPL requirements, Dynamic range, and use. Low volume background music is different from home theater.
Required frequency range, do you have subwoofers, or do you need 'fullrange' output. Lower frequency extension requirements makes a large impact on suitable drivers.
Size of the room does not hurt.
How are you going to use them, digital with EQ on the low end? or passive?
And any other useful info, will let people give you feedback and recommendations that is useful for your specific project and not just general recommandations 🙂
It is a dated design that was economical back then. the 938 is the replacement i believe.
MFG datasheet i added has a good deal of measurements.
There are better products out there for similar money.
Is a better option and well designed modern driver.
But none of us knows exactly what you are looking for, what drivers to 'match' it with, or the desired goals and constraints.
Else, also look for third party measurements where they are available like a few of those i linked and numerous other pages.
