2024-03-06 I'm trying to connect JVC XL-z431 coax out to my s.m.s.l. a300. The cable is plugged in both ends, and I have selected usb in, because there is no coax in on the a300. The coax cable from the xlz431 goes into a DSD TECH SH-AU01A USB to Coaxial Audio Adapter. Its output (usb) is pluggged into the a300. I get no sound. Is there any reason to doubt this connection adapter? or doubt the coax out on the xlz431? I need help to make this connection work. I love the old cd player transport; I'm just trying to bypass the 35-yr-old dac and use the new one in the a300.
