Is Rochester Electronics a reliable seller? I am very unsettled becaus of major problems with UTSource and IC-Dirckt (Munich !!!).
I believe so. You can buy via digikey. The gotcha for RocElec is the minimum quantity requirement, so a buy can often require a purchase of 50 or even 100 parts. They are a reputable company. They had been a customer of mine for many years.
They are definitely legit. It feels like a small operation even through they look to be a pretty big company. I reached out via phone yesterday to chat with someone in customer service to get an order going. Very kind and super helpful. They are not as efficient as Digikey or Mouser, but the pleasant personal interaction makes up for it.
My order is shipping this week, so pretty quick turnaround.

I haven't had to use them in quite a while, but I do remember them as easy to deal with.
When DK has "marketplace" on some obsolete part, they may be sourcing it from Rochester.

Absolutely legit company.
But selling to individuals might be an issue, need a registered business.

I just made a purchase and I'm an individual.
They took the order online, updated the order with me over the phone to add another item, reserved the parts, took a day to cross checked any import/export rules, then sent me a link to pay. It all went pretty smoothly. I'm waiting on shipping conformation now.
