FET piezo preamp electric guitar

Hello people,
Recently I installed a piezo tune-o matic bridge to my guitar. Also I made a piezo preamp in given link, in order to match impedance stuff. https://till.com/articles/GuitarPreamp/
My problem right now, there is too much volume difference between piezo pickup and my humbuckers. I am not an expert on circuits, I just know tiny stuff about them. Is there any way to modify the circuit in order to reduce the gain or do you guys have another preamp suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Why not use a volume control or even a potential divider to reduce the level down to the magnetic pickup level. If you placed a 47k in series with Q1 and C1, that will reduce the level by -6dB.
Your shown schematic is a standard circuit designed in the 70s by Fairchild, the component manufacturer. Plagiarism is alive and well it would appear.
It works well.

Thank you for your fast response! I am sorry, I just searched diy preamp on google and tried to find a schematic that looks easy to build on my own. I didn't know the plagiarism situation and thank you for mentioning it.
I have another question if you don't mind, can I use a 47k potentiometer between Q1 and C1 instead of resistor? Does it make sense for gain control?
Thanks

If that 3X gain preamp is way too loud, you can replace it by a simple FET source follower.
Simple, and gain of 1X only.
It might match your electromagnetic pickups.

HOW do you mix it with other pickups?
You can not just put it in parallel with them, its low output impedance will swamp them.

I didn't mention that sorry in advance. I won't mix them. I am using a push-pull pot (dpdt) to activate piezo pickup/preamp. Whenever I activate piezo, push-pull pot deactivates the humbuckers signal. So I am using either humbuckers or piezo not both of them. But whenever I switch the input sources (piezo or magnetic pickups) there is a huge volume difference.
By the way just in case my piezo pickup goes to 1M pot then preamp and lastly to push-pull switch to change output. I am not using 1M pot honestly its just there because I had spare pot. 🙂 I can omit that if it's a mistake.
