Hi!
Rumour has it that a sm Swiss made paper dome tweeter that is gold plated has been around for awhile. Anyone knows who makes it and the brand name of this tweeter? Thanks!

The nearest I can get is the Danish made Hiquphon OW3 golden soft dome tweeter.

There's no mention of paper though.

It depends...You need to upgrade the crossover too.
The slopes: are the two drivers integrating like the old ones? The woofer remains the same together with it's LP/BS coil ( I guess) and the tweeter 'inserts' with its own response after the C-L high pass. Is the impedance the same? At least the filter works..

It’s 8 ohms and I think the AR had 4 ohm tweeters.Whether the Danish made Hiquphon OW3 a good candidate to upgrade the Acoustic Research AR3a?
I wonder what the eff. was for the tweeter..
Guess for 3/4” 4 ohm replacement tweeter:

Ohhh those are three way! I was confused by the 'paper' in the title. So my suggestion was a large tweeter...
Indeed I had a pair of (rotten) AR-6 ( which don't seem to exist in the Oaktree_vintage page, probably they're a European version ) with working tweeters that I appreciate ( no working no more...).
So the 3/4" tweeter advice is good...BTW I used to live with paper cone tweeters! I had 4 in my Alllison Four system
