Today I received a a few 47uF Obbligato PSU capacitors that I ordered from diyhifisupply a few days ago.
They are big cans and diyhifisupply sell them for a very favorable price, if they work as intended.
At a first glance they look very much handmade, almost as if they were built during an art and craft class.
As soon as I go back to my workplace I will take them to the electric lad to measure the capacitance and the ESR, and for some thermal and voltage stress test.
There is not much information on the web about these capacitors, aside from having an astounding df=0.00015 according to the resellers.
Has anyone had any real life experience with them?

Not with those exact types. But with others Obligato caps. No problems ever.
I'm sure your measurements will confirm that they are fine.
And I think the handmade look is just because they are probably made for industry and they wrapped it in a 'consumer' friendly wrap.

I am confident they will work as expected.
I just find it curious that they are not very popular despite the amazing price/specs ratio, so I wanted to hear if anyone has tried them on their PSUs..

I tried the "potted" types a few years ago in the power supply of some monoblocks I was working on, and I have to say that I didn't like them. The lent an "edge" or sharpness to the sound that didn't go away even after some days of use. It was fatiguing to listen to. I have not tried the ones you show above.
@grovergardner that's interesting. Which caps did you end up using for your PSU?
I am planning to use Wima DC-link film caps for my PSU but I'll also give the Obbligato's a try and, if I don't like them, I will repurpose them to some non audio related project.

I have to admit that it’s really not expensive!
The minimum order quantity (10pcs) may be restrictive.
But as surprising as it is, there are even cheaper at tube amp doctor, I haven't tried it.
Thanks for the tip

@huggygood from diyhifisupply you can buy single capacitors, or discounted 6-packs or 10- packs.

These are tempting, but if I'm going to use a film cap in a tube amp supply, especially as the first cap, a 600vdc rating would make a lot more sense to me. The IC's I use are about the same price with with enough headroom to accommodate any turn-on surge.
I have that, I can't go below ten pieces. 🤔@huggygood from diyhifisupply you can buy single capacitors, or discounted 6-packs or 10- packs.
For some time I have been ordering from Retroampli.com in Spain, I am quite happy with them for everything consumable.
