Woofer suggestion for car audio

Hi everyone,
I was looking for some woofers that I could use for a car audio system. At the beginning I wanted to use four Peerless SDS P-830657 6.5 inch woofers, but then I found the Tang Band W4-1052SD 4 inch woofers. The plan is to cross them over with tweeters anyways. Do you recommend the bigger sds ones or the tang band speakers, considering they're higher in price (and probably quality) as well?
I forgot to mention that I will have a subwoofer for lower frequencies

What make model and year vehicle will this go in? Are you going to mount in stock locations, or modify? You will use active highpass crossover into amplifier into woofer? And separate amplifier for the tweeter? Or are you thinking passive crossover?

I'm going to install them in a 2012 fiat punto evo, four doors version. The woofers will be mounted in stock location, the subwoofer in the back trunk and the tweeter on the side of the dashboard in 3d printed movable supports. As amplifier I have an Audison sr5, 5 ways, crossover included. I should be able to drive the tweeters in two channels, the 4 woofers run in parallel in the other two channels and the subwoofer in the last mono channel.
The integrated crossover lets me set low pass for the sub, band pass for the woofers and high pass for the tweeters. As for the tweeter i chose the full range 1.5 inch Tang Band ‎W1-2025SA, but I could always go for something else.

Size wise I'd opt for the bigger 6.5" woofers simply because they can move more air, but be aware that car door conditions aren't suitable for all drivers. First there is the moist conditions, choose a woofer that can handle that, second, the car door itself. It usually acts like a leaky infinite baffle. Woofers meant for use in cars often are prepared for both conditions. Random woofers of the (hifi) shelf often are not. With the low price of those peerless woofers, you could just take a gamble (they are made of 'coated' paper though 🤔 ). Car use gets mentioned with the Tang Band. But it's Sd area is 57 cm2 vs 141 cm2 for the Peerless, while having just about equal x-max numbers. As said, the Peerless will be able to move a lot more air.

Something you can do to strengthen the doors around the speaker mounting would be to use some plastic (uhmw/polyethylene) cutting boards attached with self tapping screws.
The 10mm thick ones can be found easily and cut with a wood saw. The corner of the doors are rigid on the two sides near the edges of the doors, so cut “L” shaped pieces to help support the inner sides that will flex more. That will improve the bass more than more costly speakers.

6.5” can get down to 65hz, which is fine for blending with a subwoofer. A larger driver would probably be a nightmare to install, ruin the original door trim, and be too deep as well. Make sure you have the depth before buying something that won’t fit in your doors, am guessing something around 60mm is going to be the the limit.

Can also use the sound damping material on the sheetmetal to eliminate the ringing that will take away from those lower frequencies.
Loosely rolled bundles of bubble wrap can help reduce the back wave inside the doors, just put them out of the way of the window travel, and don’t block the water drains.

Eventually I found the Tang Band W6-789S, 6.5 inch woofer, pretty nice frenquency response easy to cross over with tweeters. They cost 38 euro each, think I'll give them a try!
They must be old stock, TB dont list them but there is a W6-789E, I dont think it would be that suitable for car door use as its reasonably deep mounting depth and its got a Qts of .46(likes a ported box) whereas most car speakers will have a higher Qts well above .5
