With the gain off my subs have low humming bass and gets louder with SSF. If filter is all the clockwise it goes off but gain won't work can't barely turn gain up at all because subs are moving very low unless SSF is at about 35hz its the loudest with no gain
Well no, gain all the way down and ssf down counterclockwise it sounds muffled if I turn ssf all the way clockwise sound goes away but gain doesn't work with alittle noise gain works bur can barely move it.
Ha, that is kinda funny but no. This is a Memphis viv 1500.1. Swapped rca's same thing. Double checking wireing inside box so far so good. What's wierd is the bass or shall I say thumping sound, sounds like it is literally coming from the back of the car. 07 cadillac srx. Not like it used to in front or under me. I've had subs for years played the hell out of them. But I have used Hu and 2 used amps only thing new were focals. So not sure if it's Hu because I've had all kinds of trouble with fader and balance when running rear speakers. Don't know. Had kenwood with arc amps never a problem had same system for ten years never a problem . Lately all kinds .
Noticed it when trying to run a test tone, everything Hu and amp where set but as soon as it started with gain off it started thumping. It plays but there is no control hardly crossovers, eq, bass boost on head unit. Useing Hu for all setting except ssf.
600 watt RE 10's at 1ohm in ported box at 35hz. Had ssf at about 26,27 and Hu crossover was 80 with 18 slope no bass boost on amp maybe 1 or 2 on Hu. Pioneer nex 4400. If any of that helps .
Resistance from RCA output shield of head unit to the case of the head unit, with nothing plugged into those RCA jacks?
Amp input shield, resistance to the main ground terminal with nothing plugged into the RCA jacks?
Swapped rca's still the same. Crossover settings or eq or phase do very little. I checked subs useing 9v battery and watched them move up and then swapped leads and move down. Rechecked all wireing. Gonna try some new RCA's but think it's more than that.
Well nothing I hear the sub move can't see it and when I do other Jack it's a louder sound. The speaker wires are still attached but not rca's
