Kemp Elektroniks SNS PLUG (Shunt Noise Suppressor)

Hi,

Has anyone ever tried this device? The maker claims a lot on his website https://www.kempelektroniksshop.nl/sns-plug:
  • Shunt filter, no dynamic restriction possible
  • Suppresses mains pollution
  • Super fast reaction speed covering an ultra-wide frequency range, up to almost 1 Gigahertz
  • Lowers the line impedance
  • 7 stages provide the best performance
  • 3-way over voltage and surge protector
  • Incorporates Creaktiv Systems chips and ci2p treatment
  • Potted in gems plus minerals and a resin to prevent microphonic effects
  • Can be combined with ALL other audio mains related products without any problem
  • Multiple SNS PLUGS intensify the effect
  • Easy ‘plug and play’ installation
Regards, Gerrit

Easy ‘plug and play’ installation
  • You could add: plug and start a house fire, with the notorious Rifa caps...
It looks like a RF shunt; I do not see the usefulness of the inductor in this context, but it is not the first device of that kind; some feature a LED when they absorb a transient, some cost a small fortune and do not even need a physical connection with the device they are supposed to protect.
This one could have a moderate effect, but a regular filter would be more effective.
If you want a common-mode version (which is probably more useful with switch-mode devices), have a look here:

It is active, and it actually works....
